本学期结束啦！团体心理治疗串也要终于come to an end了 ^^ 上上周参加了本学期最后一次group session，今天就完结一下这个嘟文串！

Group therapy的前两次，我确实有点怀疑manager therapist针对我。不过幸运的是，我在第二次结尾直接speak up for myself了，我直接问了她为什么别人都有分享的机会但是我没有。然后第三次session的时候，四个人总共一小时都在聊我的事！真的好好笑啊，朋友评价“可爱的咨询师一下愧疚了”，哈哈哈。

后来我对咨询师的信任就上升了，整个过程都很丝滑。听了一些人的故事和痛苦，出于保密准则的缘故不能在这里分享，但听了不少美国人的痛苦，做了共情练习，还练了口语和听力。

最大的感受是很开心有相当多的美国人都非常在意自己的心理健康，并且不会为此感到羞耻。有个中国女人提出要离开这个group的时候，一个在我校读phd的美国女生竟然直接哭了，她说这是她对别离的惯常反应。然后大家又开始互相安慰哈哈。

并且还有一点takeaway是，大家对于理解东亚女的烦恼（例如我）并没有什么障碍。白男白女们都在认真聆听我共情我，帮我出主意想解决办法。If a person want to be nice to you, then they can do it.

Group session究竟有没有用很难说，因为我最近状态变好主要还是因为我的危机事件顺利解决。但是我很感谢在我struggle的道路上有他们的一份陪伴。至于我的英语水平和对美国人的了解、喜爱？确实是提高了。

Group therapy is like: I am broken, you are broken, my therapists says we are allright but why the hell do you all think it is okay to quitt a job after your mate said "you look tired" und everyone looks at her like she is broken.

#Psychology Mastodon, what are reasonable expectations to have for a support group run by a #mentalhealth professional that describes itself as "not group therapy" but also sort of is? How does one get the most out of the experience? How much emotion is too much to bring up in the group, especially if it's centered around very raw topics that one hasn't fully processed? And what does one do if they constantly feel like the odd one out in the group?
