I still don't really know the answer, but then I realised I don't plan on growing up anyway, I'll just keep farting around like I am now, that'll do me just fine.

I don't remember Kindergarten; I was there for just a week. I do remember this:

One day, after the bus dropped me off at home, I opened the front door of our big red house and saw ... nothing. No furniture, no toys, no people.

As I stood in the doorway, a loud honking interrupted my wailing. It was our car, racing up the drive, Mother waving frantically.

No one told me not to get on the bus that day & that they were picking me up, nor that we were moving.

One of my 4th grade teachers had a glass eye. When she'd leave the room, she'd pop out the eye, put it on the edge of her desk facing the class, and remind us that she was always watching.

We were very well behaved.

If it's something that's annoying but not necessarily morally/ethically, etc wrong? I will not engage. It is not worth one of my rare fucks.

If it's something like protecting/defending/preserving the rights of marginalized groups? Yes, I will engage because I do give a fuck.

Hubbie stuck in traffic so have sent youngest off to Beavers with his friend and her parents. Usually can walk it but tonight they are going pond-dipping. Youngest wouldn’t have gone with anyone else that a short while ago but now he just waved and was off. #GrowingUp

Last night our 18-year-old had a few friends over for pre-club drinking, and he enthusiastically asked me to have a drink with them. Interesting experience to share alcoholic drinks with young men who I met when they were still boys (teenagers). He has a nice group of friends. They are earnestly striving to find their place in the world. And they goof around. It was a good evening. #youth #GrowingUp #community

I grew up in the suburbs without many fruit trees around, so I had always thought flowers on trees were only a thing in like, Hawaii (see Hawaiian shirts).

I don't live in Hawaii now, but seeing flowers on my local trees continues to take my breath away each spring.
