Talking with my eldest about growing up in the early 80s, I had a flashback to my walks to and from school and knowing where to seek refuge along the route should there be a nuclear attack.
With that crazy guy in the Kremlin, I'm starting to wonder where to seek shelter in a country that doesn't really have basements...

I never “cut school” to go to the arcade as a kid, primarily because my mother would’ve *destroyed me* if I had. On days that I had legitimate excuses to be out of school (doctor’s/dentist’s appointments), though, I could’ve gone with my mother’s approval.

Unfortunately for me, truancy issues did rise with arcade popularity, leading to many arcades banning kids from entry before 3pm— even with an adult!
