Reminder about filtering in GSC: In my post about analyzing continuous scroll in the SERPs, I mentioned how extreme some GSC filtering can be (especially for health & medical sites). I just exported query data via the GSC API for a health/medical site. Total clicks exported is just 6% of the UI total. Yes, 6%.

In Google Search Console there's a setting (for sites recognized as press publications) to block the publication of the description in the SERP snippet (due to copyright rights).

This setting doesn't affect rank but may affect CTR, of course.

In the GSC 'Video page indexing' report, the 'Video URL' column displays an embedded video URL obtained from the 'embedUrl' in structured data, even though the <video> tag on the page specifies the URL of an MP4 file, and the structured data also has the link to the MP4 in the 'ContentUrl'.

Is the link in the Video URL column Google's choice?

I see multiple references to MP4 files and embeds in the report when I review a single video page.

GSC data goes away after 16 months. Luckily there is this awesome tool importing the data to sheets (https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/search_analytics_for_sheets/1035646374811). Does any of you SEO geeks know if there is a solution to do the same directly to Google BigQuery?
