Many don't realize that the Great Salt Lake is bisected by the Union Pacific Causeway, which affects the ecology of the lake, with the northern portion saltier than the southern portion due to water flow issues. This year's extreme snowpack (now melting) is helping get some needed water into the northern arm of the lake.

If #GSL is currently unmaintained, then that seems like a high priority for encouraging developers/funding/institutional support for core science #reproducibility . OK for effort to go in to high-level interpreted languages like #R and #python / #numpy / #scipy , but the core like GSL needs attention too.

Remember the #GSL? I don’t, because the little I’ve read about #DnD4e is about as short as the edition lived. Why #WotC feels the need to try it again has me thinking about their #HASBRO overlords. Cancel OGL 1.1, stop this need for disputes to lead to the court room, and get back to work on #DnD6e/ “One D&D”. Maybe you’ll be able to recover the majority of your user base, but your fans are walking out the door.
