@asjmcguire is an industry trade group and does not set the standards for . That’s done by and none of their 5G standards cover despite GSMA’s assertion that “the 5G standards mandate the implementation of RCS in 5G networks and devices.” gsma.com/futurenetworks/rcs/un.

Saying that GSMA has a mandate over 5G is like saying the has a mandate over audio codecs.

pushing patented & proprietary shit sadly isn't news.

Tho at it's core an eSIM is just a reprogrammable SIM and thus cleanroom-engineering and fuzzing should yield the necessary data to reverse-engineer compliant behaviour.

After all - besides the whole programmin/enrollment and switching process, it'll act like a stupid SIM card.

Who knew trying to change companies would be so stressful. Between that are all and &T, I'm dizzy. Most MVNOs won't provide calling internationally. AT&T doesn't really help because it also states not all countries can use WIFI Calling. Where I am it's allow for small favors.

We have an Deutsche Telekom provided app with carrier-privileges called SmartAgent.
And we have a sample app that retrieves an encrypted operator token containing imsi, msisdn and pairwise subscription identifier. The token is retrieved through SmartAgent from DT's Entitlement Server

How cools is that?!

Now working on partner management because IRL this is not free for businesses
