Inkscape is hiring: Accelerating the GTK4 migration

Sometimes when coding you feel apologetic that you spend so much time scratching your own itch instead of doing things "properly".
This is the feeling I had when I hacked the old gobject generator gob2 to interact better with C++. It now uses new and delete for the private structure, and allow template syntax for private members.
The "proper" way would be to use #gtkmm, and I hope to get there one day.
In any case, if anyone else is interested see: https://github.com/dov/gob2/tree/cpp-new
After porting all the libadwaita test (and fixing bugs that were uncovered by those), I published beta2 of libadwaitamm.
https://github.com/rofirrim/libadwaitamm/releases/tag/libadwaitamm-1.2.0-beta2
Next steps include review and improve the ergonomy of some of the interfaces.
#libadwaita #gtk #gtkmm #cplusplus #gnome
Only 10 more tests to port from C to C++!
#libadwaita #gtkmm #gtk #cplusplus
Right. Now that the AoC is done, I can get back to libadwaitamm.
Nice progress porting the tests to my C++ wrapper of GNOME's libadwaita. 🛠️
