In WWII, the US Gov't decided to order Ball Bearings from Sweden, to prevent the Germans from ordering

So the US sends some 1/4" bearings to Sweden, and asks for a quote that is ~ 100% of available manufacturing capacity

The Swedes telegraph back:
We have measured (micrometer) your bearings; how many of each size do you want ?
