@jamesgunn I watched the #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyChristmas Special with my seven year old last night, and we absolutely loved it. I was really impressed with the writing and editing. It hit the right balance of funny and heartwarming without going full corny.
I loved the chase scenes! A lesser editor would have turned it into a comedic horror film where the Guardians invade Earth to hunt Kevin Bacon like a Christmas Turkey.
I think I want to see that version too: “You can’t outrun me Bacon!”

One of the best things about #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyChristmas is that it’s presented in 16:9 Full Screen because, you know, it’s intended primarily for #TV and TVs are, um…16:9. Hate the recent trend toward #Television being performatively “cinematic” by presenting in A/Rs like 2:1

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special was good fun fluff. An amusing epilogue for Phase 4, and I will be sad about more Dave Bautista.

If you need something to distract you for an hour from the world being on fire… I strongly recommend the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+.

I’m not a Christmas person, at all (because reasons), but I found it delightful. I laughed. I cried. My wife loved it because I enjoyed SOMETHING Christmas. Win-win.

Watched the #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyChristmas with my daughter this afternoon. We enjoyed it, but I think she would have enjoyed it more if she knew who Kevin Bacon was. I tried to explain to her that was a famous actor, but she has no reference for him and has never seen any of his movies.
