I know I’ve been talking a big game about #GuerrillaGarden stuff but I’m developing a relationship with the local parks and county people

Trying to find a place to responsibly dispose of noxious weeds has been challenging, but I also might get some more supplies on their dime

Took an hour to be outside and pull some weeds in the development— talked with three neighbors. One joined in and wants to help with outreach to our homeless neighbors in winter, and another has a partner who wants to help with #GuerrillaGarden stuff.

Installed a new garden bed at the edge of the woods!
Its near the pandemic patch but in an area that gets more sun so hopefully can grow some different plants.
I've put a bunch of native flowers in the bed in hopes of a few things. Provide tasty treat to pollinators, be able to gather and save seeds, look pretty, provide education and example of native plant gardening.
In the bed is woolly sunflower, yarrow, lupines, large leaf avens, alpine aster, douglas aster, blue eyed grass, pearly everlasting and self heal.
I still need to make little labels of the plant names but haven't decided on the best way to do it yet

Greenback Guerrilla Distro has been planting a food forest around a lagoon! There are so many useful plants already there but now there are more and more!

Capitalism and government have overlooked this land. We don’t own it. We didn’t ask permission to plant here because we do not recognize any authority that would seek to limit this project.

South Florida of course has been doomed by capitalism to sink beneath the ocean, scorch in uninhabitable heat, and lose its freshwater. The autonomy of food forest will allow our community to build a future in South Florida even as the megapolis decays around us. Join us in this future!
