Have made the decision to open up a #Discord server for our community. This doesn't mean that we're abandoning the #Guilded server, only in adding to the options that are available to people to use something that they may be more comfortable in.

In the meantime, #Guilded has been fun to poke around on, and I like that several features that are paygated on #Discord are free on #Guilded, like the ability to use cross-server emoji. The mobile app, however, is in SERIOUS need of refinement; and #Guilded's own website isn't even optimised for mobile. My hope is they'll pay more attention to them with more people looking to swap over now.

Fuck capitalism.

One of the communities I'm in has already mostly migrated over to #Guilded. Yes, Roblox owns it, but apparently that's all(?), and seem to be keeping their hands off it. Yes, both are turd piles, but there are unfortunately no other viable alternatives for larger communities. Yet.

I don't understand why some people uses @matrix .

I tried it too, use it sometimes too, and yes it does have some features which, for example @revoltchat or Guilded doesn't have.

And even some features that Discord don't.

SO, would you like to tell me, why, as a #Matrix user, you don't prefer to use #revolt or #guilded ?

Why alternatives to #Discord don't have some features in common?

E.G., Revolt supports multiple replies but don't support HTML while Matrix does.

Ok, friends. I'm here with another #Question, because of course I am! Anybody know of any #Accessible #Matrix clients for #Mac and #iOS? May be going down that route, and #Guilded is not the most accessible thing I've used ever. I e-mailed them, and we'll see if anything comes of it, but I'm always happy to explore alternatives in the meantime.

Due to some things that went down on #Discord yesterday, I’m looking for alternatives for my server. If guilded is accessible, I think it has all of the features I want or need. I’m happy to test it myself, but why if somebody’s already done the work and can say yes or no to accessibility. Thanks in advance.

While #Discord is definitely the leader in the community "industry" (air quotes), I think #Guilded has more benefits for the free tier and it's more oriented to #gaming communities.

#Guilded is rolling a "Discover" tab to users on mobile now, it looks pretty neat!

It's going to replace the old user profile button that was on the center which is more than ideal tbh, I'd love to see that feature expand to community hosted tournaments as well as I noticed they got rid of the "Tournaments" tab on desktop
