I especially love how the reharmonization of the verses reharmonization (though "boring" on its own) contrasts dramatically the refrain even more than the original does.

The verse, which is harmonically static (I-I64-vi7 repeated), contrasts with the very strong forward motion in the refrain, which has a series of deceptive cadences (IV-V-vi), then an imperfect V6-I cadence following the bass line's voice-leading, before finally arriving on IV-V-I.

I really appreciate this kind of verse/refrain contrast, which also appears in "PLANETES", the ED of #GuiltyCrown Lost Christmas -- one of my favorite songs.
