My #GuineaPigs we're excited and making their usual ruckus when I reached down to get them for our yard time
So I looked over at my wife shaking my head and said "These damn blue-collar squeakers"
...and she had no clue what song or even band I was referencing. 😔
So I'm out here in the Fediverse posting about it and hoping someone else gets it because I'm generally not very clever and I'd hate to completely waste one of the funniest things I've said this year

"Yeah, that's my guinea pigs!"
He looks at me like I'm an idiot, and asserts again, "Rat!"
