Anyone ever mess with #GuitarModding? I kinda wanna pick up a cheap #Squire #Strat and trick it out over time, but idk what model to start with. Are the Affinity series any decent for modding? I've heard the Mexican-made models are the way to go, but idek if they manufacture down there anymore. I also heard someone got an Affinity and had trouble finding aftermarket trem blocks that would fit, idk how common that is.

I was thinking of just getting something with a decent build quality and I could drop in an ObsidianWire solderless custom blender and some Fat '50s, probably swap out the hardware with locking tuners and either Callaham or #Fender vintage steel parts, etc.

Any tips or ideas for me?
