I had my stitches removed this morning. The doctor said everything looks good, but now the pain in the roof of my mouth -- where a piece was cut out for the gum graft -- deadass hurts as badly as it did the day it first got cut open. It radiates through my entire mouth and even into my ear.😭​

This is because the wound was growing back around the stitches...which were aggravating the hell out of the tissue. Then, when the stitches were pulled out, the site got re-injured. 😭​ No noticeable bleeding, though. Just pain.

The doctor gave me a bit of the topical anesthetic they use in-office, which is a godsend.

I'm hopeful it will feel better tomorrow.

2nd post-op appointment is next week.
