Finished! A last little run of sick bed Covid isolation stitching, and Iām done diddly done. The Unicorn cushion by Candace Bahouth from her Medieval Needlepoint book. I stitched the heraldic Standing Lion cushion from the same book years ago, so now he has a companion. Time to sew both of them up into cushions.

About 15-20 years ago I stitched the Standing Lion tapestry cushion front from Candace Bahouth's "Medieval Needelpoint" book. (Sadly long out of print, but copies still circulate through secondhand bookstores online.) This year I decided to stitch the companion Unicorn cushion front, and I'm almost done. Once done it hopefully won't take me another 15-20 years to sew them up into cushions. #craft #stitch #tapestry #needlepoint #guyswhostitch #handmade

Last year I spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, sitting in waiting rooms, and waiting around to get irradiated. I had two, apparently unrelated, forms of #cancer, #prostatecancer and #thyroidcancer, which were diagnosed only weeks apart. I'm always happiest when I have a project to keep me busy, so I started making #crossstitch pin cushions from Modern Folk Embroidery. I did the first one as a convenient small project, but then I decided to keep going and make Christmas gifts for my stitching and costuming friends. I haven't been so productive this year... yet. #craft #stitch #christmas #handmade #guyswhostitch
