I was invited today to give a talk at a womans breakfast event (Global Women's breakfast by IUPAC). #GWB2023 Its a ones a year event, organized for all women in chemistry of my state. Usually speakers go on to tell their life story to inspire others. Since that was obviously a bit difficult for me, I focused on intersectionality, trans education in general tried to highlight how the strive for more trans acceptance is the same as the fight for more gender equality. i got very nice positive feedback for sharing my personal story and for sharing my personal emotional struggles around it.

And yet I cant escape the feeling I just managed to other myself, since I spoke about growing up with male privilege ad using gender quilty and trans acceptance as two concepts (trying to combine them, but then people only hear what they want to hear)
I fucking hate this. You cant win.
