I was thinking of #rondesantis and the #GOP fear of #wokism . My memories went back to 2000, when banning gay marriage was the central plank of #GWBush 's campaign. I wonder if the #transphobia resonates because it justifies the fears people used to have about homosexuals (ie. They are going to make your kids gay).

Another thought is De Santis reminds me of GW in that I think he is so confident of his priorities that he would miss a terrorist threat too.
