1/ Recent output from a research project on #GWDTE (ground water dependent terrestrial ecosystems) - their current condition in #denmark challenges of #restoration and management etc with @Ejrn_s and colleagues.
Main message: to restore natural processes is the most promising approach to wetland restoration. Nutrients - the legacy of farming past - is the main obstacle. To allow #encroachment by (willow) shrubs and trees is probably the best choice for areas with high nutrient loads. Details ⬇️
