【HEVC備忘録】
おいTwitch早くHEVC対応しろ。
とりあえず2080Tiになったことで、PascalからTuringへ進化。これに伴ってNVEncのHEVCが使用可能になりました。なのでやることと言えば…検証。H.264との違いも見ていきます。
実際は対応プラットフォームが少ないHEVC。でもAV1は4000番台しか使えないのでまだまだ普及自体は先の話。果たして2年くらいしたら、HEVCの対応もしてくれるんでしょうかね。

Are there any good resources about how to render optimized for the ?

* What container formats and codecs are widely supported?
* What codecs should be preferred?
* Is on better than in ?
* Do we still need H264 for compatibility?
* Are there other codecs I should consider shipping? ? ? Do we ever need anymore?
* What tools can optimize these videos to shrink them as much as possible?
* Best practices for accessible videos? It feels weird that `alt` isn't a thing, but are captions supposed to address that?

I feel like I have a good sense of how to do images effectively after watching enough , but I'm less clear on effective video deployments.

In other news, spent the best part of an hour testing different settings in to get this video to maintain an acceptable quality and 60 fps. Tried but it couldn't actually go low quality enough! :D It was still good quality but a big filesize. With I had many options of quality vs file size, but had to drop to 720p.
