Still a little obsessed with the masked dancers. Especially when the mask is off. The strength and still required to do this stuff is quite amazing.

This lovely lady was one of the dancers on the main stage. Her hubby was one of the masked dancers too. They have to take turns to hold their sleeping baby all day!

It's been quite a day today. Pure Bhutan. Morning stroll down the valley. Butterflies everywhere. Monks for lunch. Driving up through the switch backs. High pass at 3800m. Final hotel for the trip just outside Paro in the woods. Gorgeous digs tonight. Totally knackered. Taktsang tomorrow.

The people of Bhutan are what make the place truly special. They're gentle, peaceful and not full of themselves. Every day they show kindness in a dozen different ways.

I wish more people would come here to visit. Tourism is their main source of income. It's a good fit for their kindness.

Market day in Haa today. We had freshly fried bread, puri style, and a nice chai. Lovely little market this one, and not full of blue tarps that mess about with your photos!

One thing that I find remarkable about Bhutan is how green and lush the landscape is. Haa Valley is the same elevation as Kagbeni in Nepal, yet the two places could not be more different.
