Good morning #hachyderms! I hope you all had a good weekend? I went for a walk in the woods and was eaten alive by mosquitos (I have 2-3 bites. My wife looks like a relief map of the Andes), did some gardening and got heat stroke (d'oh) and rewarded myself with a 70% off Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Loving it so far!

Hello #hachyderms! I am back after 10 days off from work, #study and social media and feeling good! I went on (British) safari, Kentish seafront, essexish(?) Pleasure peir to see a tiny galleon (and froze my **** off), actually got on my #skates for the first time in years and did some gardening.

Back to work with a bang, but feeling happy to be back.

Good morning #hachyderms! I had a rude awakening at midnight with our Carbon Monoxide alarm going off and having to call the gas board out. As a result, we have no heating or hot water and I have to drive for several hours to get my son from uni.

4. Can implement and add a processing element to the image processing pipeline that adds annotations to the image as metadata.

5. The GUI will be responsible for drawing those annotations on top of the image before loading the image into the display buffer.

6. "Software Design for Flexibility: How to Avoid Programming Yourself into a Corner" (Chris Hanson and Gerald Jay Sussman) helped me think different about implementation.

I will be taking my son back to Uni, whilst my beloved will be going back to work to help keep the #nhs going. She may be a small cog in an immense machine, but if she stopped, her entire department would crumble.

Good morning #hachyderms and people of the #fediverse. I hope you have a great day, and that the weather in the UK doesn't cause you too much drama. I'm glad I get to stay and WFH in weather like this, unlike when I was a phone engineer working in all weather's. That wasn't so fun, especially when trying to find work boxes under the snow. Took me 2 hours to clear the snow over what I thought would be a box, turned out it had never been put in. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Happy new year #fediverse of #hachyderms! May the new year bring you shallow lows, snow-capped highs and smooth rides twixed the two. Remember, life isn't a bed of roses, so try and avoid the thorns. I look forward to spending more time on the fediverse and using my code to make a difference.

@nova one of my favorite things about being _not_ in the public eye is the ability to forget about mastodon/discord/etc for a few days and recharge—i imagine you’re not alway in a position to readily do that. so thank you for that extra layer of work; of being _on_ and i hope you find a way to shut _off_ for a spell with loved ones :blobfoxheartcute:
