It wouldn't surprise me if many #hackyderm folk are big fans of Physics Girl on youtube as she presents Physics in a very approachable and exuberant way.

I recently learned that Dianna (her real name) has been totally incapacitated by long-term covid.

Very surprising given she is young and undoubtably follows the science.

The depressing worry is that as an indie in the US, her ability to access good health care is beyond her financial capabilities.

I just learned that you can use an #arduino as a ttl-to-USB just by taking out the atmega chip. How have I never heard of this?!

I've been working on a new React component workshop project called Exhibitor. The aim is "think Storybook but leaner, faster, simpler, and with sane defaults". Been one month (in-between my existing goings-on) and it feels like it's turning into a really delightful tool to use (i'm slightly bias!).

I am a nerd, since 1983 when I started programming on a TI99/4A. These days, I am programming less but still interested in #tech, such as #linux, #macOS, #machinelearning, #privacy, #cybersecurity, etc.

My current passion is #innovation and its effective broadcasting. I channel this energy via Start Bridge #startbridge, a company I co-founded last year.

@ant_g I haven't experienced your same issue, but I use Android and just use one client, Tusky. If you keep seeing the problem and find that it is specific to Hachyderm, maybe try filing an issue on https://github.com/hachyderm/community

By the way, it's #hachyderm (think pachyderm like a mastodon), rather than #hackyderm . There is an alias for people who make the typo, but it's possible the alias doesn't work in all cases; check to make sure you're using the right server name.

Hey #hackyderm people, I keep running into errors(specifically 404 in metatext) when trying to log into my account on other iOS mastodon clients. Any one else see this or know a work around? May or may not be specific to the server 🤷🏻

I actually moved to #Hackyderm from my own instance because barely any replies showed up on the posts.

Also moving accounts does not move your existing posts, but I'm sure others have mentioned that already.
