Where are the #Hair people of mastodon? I have a question. This is my virgin hair. I've been using well water for the past 4 years so it's turning more and more red/ orange while my silver streaks are dingy. Would a blue shampoo bring up the silver and tone down the red/ orange?

I have to go to the #hairdresser tonight which I never enjoy anyway, always feels like an awkward wasted hour of my life but necessary for nice hair.

Worse, I have to have yet another new stylist 😒 3rd in three visits. So added #anxiety of whether we'll gel, and if they'll actually give me the #haircut I ask for 🤷🏻‍♀️

If I find one I like they always leave! ..Though the last one I didn't like so I was a relieved they changed the appointment. That was a very rough head massage, twice the length off we'd agreed and restyled my fringe!

Maybe I should try a new hairdresser, someone closer to my place. Any recommendations for places in Berlin Kreuzberg/Neukölln that are safe and welcoming for trans women, preferably run by queer folks?

My current one is pretty far away, rather pricey, and the vibe is off sometimes, especially when he talks about other trans people. I just have to correct him for misgendering too often.

(I know about Butch Cut but that’s really not my style.)

Is there a #HairDresser or #HairStylist Mastodon group? My stylist is unavailable at the moment and I need some advice re: a new shampoo since I’ve had to drop Olaplex. I need something that won’t leave an oil residue in the shower — any recommendations?

On my way back from the city center I thought i could just walk by at Jana and ask for an appointment for blue strands for my hair. Maybe, some time bext week or so.

She: “Oh, can you come back at 15:30h, then we can do it today?”

Apparently, she is going on vacation end of next week and that’s why her next week is completely booked out.

I always assumed they learnt what they need to do to make people (me) look good. But they usually do not do that job for me.
They ll ask me questions about style but I have no idea what all the type of cut will look like. Any recommendations?
