This was a great match for any neutrals. A superb goal by Mešanović put the visitors ahead early on and Matija Ljujić levelled the scores after some shambolic defending. Peter Ambrose then finished off a nice goal to put Lilák ahead, Kisvárda equalised but Heinz Mörschel scrambled what proved to be the winner after a very lengthy VAR check. We then had to endure FOURTEEN minutes of added time. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Lilák started well & Csoboth Kevin’s superb diving header made it 1-0. Midfield anchor Vincent Onovo went off on 40 mins with a nasty head injury & ZTE took control of that area. Restored between the posts & skipper, Banai Dávid made some great saves. Újpest got a rather fortunate win as Peter Ambrose scored a splendid opportunist goal, just reward for all of his hard work this season. Hajrá Lilák!!!

This was a tale of two keepers. It was a really tight match and the only chances had
fallen to Újpest, but an impressive display from Riccardo Piscitelli had kept them out. So when Simon Krisztián scored on 88 minutes Lilák thought they had it won only for Đorđe Nikolić to totally misjudge a high cross and allow Mező to equalise in added time with pretty much their only goal attempt. Before the start I was worried about Lamin Colley, because he can be lethal on his day, and so it proved as he scored two first half goals. Last night though he was upstaged by a Matija Ljujić mesterhármas (hat-trick) which gave Újpest an excellent away point. The team put up a great fighting performance against strong opposition. Only a superb display of goalkeeping by Lilák’s Banai Dávid kept the score down as Debrecen, with all to play for, clinched a UEFA qualifying place for next season. A 7th place finish is just about satisfactory for Újpest after a dismal start to the season was salvaged by the return of Nebojša Vignjević as head coach. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A Heinz Mörschel header and two fine finishes by Fernand Goure gave Lilák a superb win over 2nd placed Kecskemét. With two centre-backs suspended, another injured and the only other who could play there going off concussed after 30 minutes, it was a makeshift defence with a midfielder and a youth player playing as centre-backs. A fantastic, vibrant performance from the whole team. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Lilák played really well last night and were unlucky not to get a point, with Fernand Goure (for the 3rd consecutive game) and Simon Krisztián scoring, also hitting the woodwork a number of times. Fradi showed why they are well clear at the top of the league with strong defending under intense pressure and scoring some superbly taken goals. Hajrá Lilák!!!

This was a victory for football as Lilák always try to play some. Paks route one approach may have taken them to 3rd place but it isn’t a good watch. Nice finishes from Fernand Goure, Heinz Mörschel and a Nemanja Antonov penalty moved Újpest up to 7th in the league. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Been a busy few days for Csoboth Kevin, he was picked for the 🇭🇺 national team for the first time and played in both victories. Then today he scored a hat-trick as Lilák picked up an important win in the first game back for head coach Nebojša Vignjević. In truth it was quite a poor performance and only Kevin made the difference between two sides with dodgy defences. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A dreadful performance. Midfield was the root cause, nobody seemed to know their role & the formation was changed 3 times in the first half. The attackers always play good stuff & create chances but that’s just papering over the cracks. Varga scored a brilliant individual goal but at 4 down that was too little too late. I’ve supported Kruščić for 14 months but this may be the end for the coach. HajráLilák!!!

An excellent point for Lilák at 2nd place Kecskemét but it felt more like a defeat having been 2 up @ 83 mins. Simon Krisztián scored another good goal almost identical to last week and then provided an assist from a similar move for Varga György Balázs to make it 2-0 with his 1st goal in the top flight. Đorđe Nikolić made some great saves to keep Kecskemét at bay so a draw was probably fair. Hajrá Lilák!!!
