I remember how 'Say a Little Prayer' played when my dear Lotta cat died. My fucking heart shattered.

If you can write a song that is both slow and upbeat and also collaborate to the level where you have someone (David) add lyrics that turned the song sublime... The music. God, his music. His production and arrangement. The stuff he touched on and made happen are very, very hard to achieve.

He made Dusty Springfield's 'Just a Little Lovin''; he should be adored for all eternity just for that.

I know people don’t rate it much but I was taken to see tha film of #LostHorizon as a child in 1973. It totally captured my imagination and I fell in love with #BurtBacharach and #HalDavid then and there. I rewatch that film on occasion. It means a lot to me.
