#HalfBad is one of my favorites. Hate that Netflix canceled it. I should read the books someday.

I just finished binge-watching "Half Bad" (The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself) on Netflix with my son. It was his first time, my second.

It's one of the most gripping, original, and enjoyable things I've seen on television in a long time.

I can understand the pandemic leading to the cancellation of "I Am Not Okay With This" and "Teenage Bounty Hunters" (two other superb shows with young casts) but it's a travesty that they cancelled "Half Bad."

I loved this #HalfBad Bastard Son & The Devil Himself fic by stele3 - it's about Gabriel and his trauma and his patchy memory and how he's so in love with Nathan and Annalise and so scared. I got a comment on my #HalfBad OT3 fic saying that they found the Gabriel/Annalise dynamic hardest to picture (so therefore likes my fic really honing in on it) but for me I actually think it's the easier dynamic to understand, they're both pulled along in Nathan's wake, afraid of what that means and afraid of themselves. It's so easy for me to see how they learn to love *through* Nathan, through his earnestness, his goofiness and his honesty and his attempts to survive and not be dragged down

2. I'm not really in any fandoms right now. I was very excited by #Netflix #HalfBad series which has canon queer characters and magic 👀 but ofc that got cancelled..

I usually flit around my go-to fandoms. #buffy #DrWho, #Dc fandoms, mainly #batman and #flash.

I finished watching season 1 of Half Bad: The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself.

Overall it was quite good. Even so, there are some things about it that I wasn't thrilled about. Actions of characters that don't make a lot of sense, real mustache-twirling villains. But it managed to rise above the problems. Honestly, it felt like an interesting setting for an RPG.

Finished watching #halfBad : the bastard son and the devil himself. Loved it. You might want to avoid it if you don’t like gore, or if you are totally not wanting to watch stories with teenage heroes. Otherwise it’s great. Good acting, a story that - unlike many series today (SANDMAN THIS MEANS YOU) - has a great pace from beginning to end without being boring ever, good action, good special effects. Oh yes it’s about witches.

#HalfBad on #Netflix is actually a #queer coming of age story (trust me) with both star-crossed lovers and a brewing love triangle from what i've seen. Plus there's a pretty sophisticated, overlapping morality tale to boot — of Shakespearean proportions.
