Housing is a necessity, especially during a time of housing shortage. Housing should not be considered a "great investment opportunity".

Two other houses in the area—one very obviously a flip as it was listed 3 months after purchase and a quick reno— have been withdrawn from the market, after more than 3 months of listing. Good.

A house in my area took almost 70 days to sell, after 3 price drops. The owners bought in April 2021, and sold for $60k above what they paid 19 months ago. After their costs, I'm sure they made a little profit, but probably not as much as they had hoped (they originally listed it for $130k above what they paid).

Why are many homes being re-listed just a year later? Investors hoping to cash in quickly? If so, I'm glad that the market has slowed down. . . .
