@vi @1dark1 @BSidesLV I only saw your reply and the line about covering skeletons with good designs, which made me think of these decorated skulls at the Charnel House in Hallstatt, Austria.

These were featured in the 'Lettering Location' section of the first issue of my magazine, BLAG: bl.ag/01

`This reconstruction of men's clothing was based on completely preserved smocks and coats from Northern Europe. The fabrics and ribbons were designed according to textile finds from the salt mine. The belt plate was made after a find in Vače (Slovenia), the robe pin after an original from the Hallstatt cemetery (Upper Austria).`

`Animals played an important role in the religion of the period. The role of the as a sacrificial is clearly shown by the corresponding figural scene on the Strettweg cult wagon. Since deer are not suitable for riding or pulling wagons, we must consider that deer snaffles were used as part of religious rituals.`

„This wrought iron firedog was found in the cremation burial of wealth and power with the paraphenalia for feasting, including imported metal vessels and a wine amphora. Firedogs may have been used to spit-roast meat over an open fire for the funeral feast. The oxhead terminals with flaring horns are typical. Firedogs were rare and prestigious objects.“
