#parkrun results for 7/15/23 at #HamletPark. Official time 28:30, a new PB by 20 seconds. Really felt good today. Last week was a new PB by 1:18, so down 1:38 in two weeks. Plenty of room to go lower, too. Results from my watch below (stopped 8 seconds after run was done).

So close. So very close. I have a year end goal of sub 30 minutes for #parkrun. Today I ran 30:08. I have a right ankle issue and maybe I should have just sat out today, but I thought I could get it done. 80 degrees F (27C) didn’t help, but I should have gotten it. Next week, I guess. Unofficial 30:19 because in my disappointment, I momentarily forgot to turn my timer off off. #hamletpark

#Parkrun today at #hamletpark in Cottage Grove, MN. Had an issue with my right ankle being pretty tender. Maybe not the best decision to run today, but I did and I came in at 30:32. That’s 22 seconds off my personal best. Without the ankle issue, I definitely get under 30 minutes. Average heart rate down six beats a minute from last week.

If it’s Saturday, it’s #parkrun! My regular parkrun was canceled, so I ran #Eagan today, which is the closest one to my home. This is a much tougher course than #hamletpark and it was very warm today. I ran 31:26, which is 54 seconds slower than last week. Given the difference between the courses, this was an improvement. Next week, back at Hamlet Park and I’m taking aim directly at 30:00, my year end goal. VO2 max at 34.8 a new high and 2.0 higher than last week. #fitby60 #fitness #running

I participated in the #HamletPark #parkrun this morning. My unofficial time was 31:18, a personal best by 1:04 over last week’s time. This weekly run is part of my plan to be #fitby60. I run intervals, meaning I both run and walk. This week I ran 53.6% of the time. I pre-plan my intervals using an app called Seconds. It was 64F and the humidity was at 70%. Overcast with a slight wind. My goal at the beginning of the year was to break 30 minutes. That goal is now in sight. #fitness #running

Participated in the #HamletPark #parkrun this morning. My goal at the beginning of the year was to complete in 30:00. Today I had a PB of 32:22. My first time this year was 48:42. My weight this morning was 232 lbs, down from 296 on 11/26. #fitby60 #fitness #running

Did my ninth #parkrun today at #hamletpark. The weather was not great, low 40s and overcast. But the wind wasn’t too bad and no precipitation. My time was 33:05, which is 5 seconds slower than last week. I was hoping for a little better time, but that’s okay. Today was the 1st anniversary celebration of the Hamlet Park Parkrun. New personal best of 32:58. Beat last week’s PB of 33:49. My goal remains to get below 30 minutes in 2023 on my quest to be #fitby60.

It was cold and windy today. 32 degrees at race time with a healthy wind out of the north northwest. 100% overcast. Light snow/drizzle. Just not a nice day at all.
