OK, up and running on #hamsoverIP and a first QSO there with Steve #K4KSA in Florida, using Zoiper on Android.

If I understand the system topology, we were connected on Hams Over IP 15000 via Allstar 49050 which #N8EMA runs with a multiport connection to a few different nets.

Had a nice chat with @Mark2E1CEQ just now (via Discord) re #hamsoverIP which is a VOIP SIP network for amateur radio. I would wonder if it's suitable for @DK1MI to patch in to the #Fedihams network.

Getting set up on #hamsoverIP as a starting point (awaiting verification). I see @M0YNG with a discussion re that system.

@Ve1dn Please tell me that phone on the left has #HamshackHotline and/or #HamsOverIP lines on it.

I've recently re-setup my home PBX using just asterisk

I'd rather not use #discord but I'm having issues with #hamsOverIP and I'm sure that's a good place to get help.
(It works on mobile network but not over virgin media broadband. Yes I have tried sip alg off and on and port forwarding)

So I try discord, it let's me give a username.
Then it asks if I'm a robot.
Then it says it needs to validate and email and asks for a password.
The email never arrives. I try this a few times.
No email.

Guess I'll not get any help :alex_rolling_eyes:

I hope more of these kinds of nets do this #HamShackHotline and #HamsOverIP things.

Of the ways that I have the proper stuff set up to listen along, those two would give me the best and simplest listening experience.

Am just beginning to look into #HamsOverIP, #HamShackHotline, #AmateurWire and #VoIP. I have an #AllStar account, which I’ve really only used so far to access the same conferences that I regularly access via Echolink. Considering the advantages of getting a physical phone to use with these services vs just via apps. Not sure how far into this aspect of things I’ll go, but it’s interesting. #KE0FFT

I also got an #OBiTalk2182 to add to my phone collection. I have it hooked to @SDF #VoIP, #HamsoverIP, #AmateurWire, and (hopefully soon to come) #HamshackHotline. #hamradio

I have just re-installed Groundwire on my cell phone for Hams over IP and my 300053 extension is working on there again.

Yesterday I was able to visit a good friend Con, VK3WOG and I was able to set up his Hams Over IP phone with his extension 300093. He has removed his Hamshack Hotline number from service. I also programmed some radios and a TV for him while I was there.
