Working on a super secret assignment, and it feels good to be analysing colour in such detail again. Breaking every colour up that I need to use, work out quantities precisely, while still maintaining a bit of artistic flair.

My version of the #PressedFlowersPullover is coming along nicely. I'm using my own Ripples Crafts hand dyed, and the base is Arcadia DK in colours "Midnight at the Village Hall" and "As the Sun Sets". I'm out of stock of both shades at the moment, but have undyed Arcadia base arriving this week when I'll redye both shades.

Working with one of my current favourite colours - Midnight at the Village Hall. So difficult to capture the intensity and deep shades in this variegated colour, but this got quite close. I'm using it as my main colour in my version of the pattern Pressed Flowers Pullover. My contrast is an orange/red shade, so I won't be missed when I'm wearing it.

Last year we had such a ball at Glasgow School of Yarn that this year we applied to do it all over again, and I am delighted to say our application was accepted. Sneak Peak

I'll be putting up another #knitting pattern in the next few days.

It's a cowl with a leavy pattern to add a bit of interest, but not so many holes it doesn't keep warm. Made with beautiful sportweight handdyed yarn (not by me).

The fabulous @WoollyWormhead releases Riverbero today, a beautiful hat pattern using contrasting coloured yarns. In the sample she has used my Ripples Crafts hand dyed yarn in colours Slice of Lime and Jewelled. Isn't it fabulous?

Auf meinem super Sockengarn (Jack the Ripper) habe ich euch wieder "New Year's Eve" in den Shop geschmissen. Die Wolle ist grade noch feucht hinter den Ohren, trocknet aber schon fleißig. Am Montag (spätestens Dienstag) könnte sie dann auf Reisen gehen.

I've been working with a dyeing technique today which I devised, but which I've not used for a while, and which has fabulous results but oooffft I'd forgotten how much work it was! It slows down the process dramatically meaning I can't dye the same volume in a day as I can with some of my other dyeing methods. This is probably why I've not used this method for a while, but oh my .... the resulting colourways are special.
