Technically still a WIP - so #WIPWednesday it is.

The #cardigan is in it's final stages - ends need to be woven in, then a turn in the (handwash setting of the) washing machine (why yes, I put all my #handknits in the machine) and some blocking although that will mostly be laying out everything flat and pull into shape, no stretching out. I might need an iron in the end, to sharpen the creases of the box pleat.

Tomorrow or friday it should be finished.

Monday morning mood: reminding myself that 25 degrees is actually quite nice when you have warm clothes and the walk isn't too long. Much better than say 10 degrees. Grateful for clear sidewalks, easy walking, and warm hats and mittens. Now tea.

Forced myself to pick the contrasting colours quickly and think next time I’d choose differently. But they will be someone’s cup of tea!

Making items is sometimes so strange. I finished this shrug back in Jan 2021 but I never wear it because it always slips off my shoulders. And yet, I won't unravel it because it's I love the lace design so much.

I guess it fits that motto of "Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." I just didn't expect my knitting to switch categories.

Sunday feels like wrapping up in #handknits and curling up with a cuppa at the kitchen table, gazing out the window as the resident magpie chatters from the branches of a damson tree that's still not wearing its winter clothes. I can't imagine not having these moments of peace in my life.
