My mantle has been slightly crooked for about 3 years, ever since my very large cat knocked it loose. It sat with a slight forward lean so if someone slammed a door things would roll off. Today it was fixed. I cannot tell you how satisfying it is. #handyman #mantle #fatcat #evenkeel

Just had a long conversation with my handyman. The man's a genius. He has amazing ideas about renewable energy, but he's afraid he'll get killed if he's gonna try and get them done, yet he intends to do it anyway. He moved to London from Romania. And his son's a multi gold medalist in martial arts at 15 and a very very talented rapper/musician. He's gonna travel the world with him for competitions. Never underestimate the incredible minds and lives of handymen (/women/people).
