Woohoo! R2 is now standing on his own feet. Today I finished one foot and fixed the other. Now they are on the legs and it’s looking good so far. Today I got to work on the center ankle of my #happinessMachine aka R2. And I don‘t know if anyone in #woodworking still doesn‘t know this: you can temporarily glue two pieces of wood together with some painters tape and ca-glue and activator. You could use double sided tape, but those can be hard to get off again. And also leave a residue on the wood. Or maybe you just don‘t have any around. 😉 #maker

Ok I got all parts of the legs cut and routed. That‘s a plus. I started to glue up the first leg, that’s good too. But wtf happened there?! I made templates and trimmed it all flush just so that now the holes E not perfectly aligning. That triggers me. 🥺 Should have drilled the through holes after glueing. Well at least gained some XP. 😅 #woodworking #happinessMachine #maker

After a while, I started working on #project #happinessMachine again. And my new bandsaw came in pretty handy. The template on the right was cut by it. The others were done with a jigsaw. But I have to say, I like the cleaner cut of the bandsaw more. 😎 #woodworking

Yay, the parts for my #happinessMachine came really fast. And since I got enough omniwheels now, I threw together the center leg scavenger drive to test and figuring out the correct spacer lengths. I think it‘s looking good. #maker

Yeah I just invested some money in parts for my #happinessMachine 😄 They were finally available. I‘be been waiting for month. Hopefully the delivery will go smoothly. Damn on day in 2023 and still #project overflow. 😅
