Most vegans with access to the internet will know about Happy Cow. For those that don't but want to search for vegan places to eat, then look no further! You don't need to be vegan of course, in fact, I'm hoping non-vegans will see this. The added bonus is that they use Open Street Map in their searches too, how cool is that! Auf meine Bewertung haben sie geantwortet, dass niemand Veganes Essen will. Klar, ich geh auch nicht mehr hin. 🤷 Und wenn auf der Karte nichts steht, dann verirrt sich auch niemand da hin. If you're looking for #vegan #ramen in #Stockholm, this is a centrally located option, albeit the ramen was only average. The tofu was fairly cold when I got the food and the broth, while overall very tasty, had to much parsley in it for my liking.

@tom_andraszek Ah I see. This would be different for everyone as we all have different circumstances but I suppose I am in a lucky (privileged?) position where these things don't apply to me, or I don't let them.

When visiting others, I expect there to be vegan food provided or I would simply not eat anything there. On the weekend we went to a birthday and they were kind enough to provide us with vegan dishes. No hard feelings if they chose not to provide us anything, good on them if they do.

With travelling, it's true that in many parts of the world you would struggle to find good vegan food, the last place I travelled was in the UK, which is practically a Mecca when it comes to vegan food. If I travel around Australia I have to do research to make sure shops and restaurants can cater to us and if not I will stop in the local Woolies and get some tasty treats! It does mean that if I want to go to a country, and there are no vegan food options, I would have to skip the trip or choose somewhere where it's more friendly. I have also been using the apps #HappyCow and #abillion to help with this!

But again, all easier said than done!

Habe gestern happy cow ausprobiert. Die App ist ja Mal richtig praktisch.
Man kann sich auf die Angaben verlassen (bei Google Maps hat sogar der Gyrosgrill um die Ecke bei dem nichtmal die Salate vegan sind "vegan options") und ich habe noch keine dummen Bewertungen gesehen.

@francis Glad to hear it Francis! It is always harder to eat #vegan food when on holiday. When I went to the UK recently I used the #HappyCow app and the #abillion app to help me find good vegan restaurants and cafes. Not sure what things are like in Brazil and Portugal though in terms of food options.
