Eventually, #HAProxyConf came around and put out their call for papers to present at a virtual conference.

I figured, why not? I've done interesting work, I'll just submit something I was proud of as a case study. They're probably not going to pick me anyway.

But they did. And I found myself presenting at a virtual conference full of other #SoftwareEngineer and #DevOps people.

What's more, people actually seemed to enjoy the presentation. Now it's starting to feel like a big deal.
