I'm struggling with the impossible letter P reflection in this story art. The possible future iPhone action button is interesting, though. Re-sharing on this username (more under my old @ceralor maybe) but have been working on ear #haptics for #VRChat. OSC combined with contact senders and receivers makes this a breeze! On my own avatar my ears touched via hands or fingers, or custom terms feet/toes (like for laying down around folks) or nose or tongue, triggers an OSC value to talk to a #Python script which sends the value to a #microcontroller on my headset.
In short: touch my ears and I'll wiggle and yap cause I feel it!

In more #VR fun, update photos on the current state of my Ear Haptics setup. I got longer wires in, probably a little TOO long.
Now strapped to the inside of the headphone arms via ziptie for a cleaner external look, with wire routing where possible.
Still working on the #Python code, but will be probably moving to #Arduino if I don't change to a more-RAM chip.
Not FULLY happy with the ERM placement but it gets the point across. Needs better attachment! #haptics #VRChat #Adafruit

While what I have works, I think it can be a lot better, or maybe I just need to calibrate it? In any case, #haptics are difficult to simulate accurately. #VRChat gives either distance to center of contact shape from edge, or true/false on contact (either rising on-enter or constant).

There's no physical click, just a speaker that says "click" when you press it hard enough. Cover your ears, and you lose the sense of when you've clicked!
