Listening to Dan Carlin’s #HardcoreHistory Addendum interview with Kenneth W. Harl about his book “Empire of the Steppes: A History of the Nomadic Tribes who Shaped Civilization” … and on the same magic rectangle in my hands from which this interview emanates, I can pop over to another app (hoopla) and borrow from my local library the audiobook of same.

I know #ClimateChange is destroying the planet and all but sometimes life in the 21st century is pretty grand.

One of my ezines switched to Substack a little while ago, and I remembered that one of my favorite podcasters started a newsletter on Substack, so I checked it out yesterday. Not sure when I'll find the time or the writers to follow, but it looks pretty interesting. The voice it uses to read the articles is also very good, at least in my opinion.

Two more of my AI-assisted digital collages have been used for ENDE Records album covers. This time around it's for two unearthed releases from Dimfigure.

Dimfigure was a hardcore, breakcore and glitch producer from Sydney. Beginning on the free party circuit in the late 1990s, he went on to co-found the crew and collective Prohibited Projects in the early 2000s, running underground hardcore parties with them until he joined Killerwatts Sound Systems (KWS) in 2003. As a member of KWS he was known for blistering hardcore and breakcore sets which mixed noise, hardcore, breakcore, glitch records and his own compositions.
