Well, this convention has turned into sort of a bust for me. I'm running a fever and coughing stuff up, so I've confined myself to my room for now. Trying to get someone to bring me a COVID test but at this point even if it's not COVID I think it'll be better to isolate.

That said, I'm really appreciative of the huge online presence of #harmonycon. I've been peeking at the discord and Pony Town servers so at least I'm still getting some con vibes.

They put me in charge of all the buttons and sliders!

After getting blocked last-minute by covid last year, it is finally time:
#HarmonyCon here I come!

...eventually. It's a long chain of flights.

Reminder to get your vaccines up to date and your health-plans together this week if you're going to #HarmonyCon!

Cons come with germs, but you can protect yourself from the worst of these things by getting your body ready, with exercise, taking vitamins, and getting your vaccines up to date.

If you've been putting off your New Years Resolution to get more exercise, consider this a good time to make the attempt by going out for walks on warmer days and doing calisthenics/aerobics indoors: anything that gets your breath up and works your heart is good. You should also be making sure your immune system is getting enough vitamin C and Zinc, which it will use to fight infections during the con, and stay hydrated. (the drink I always recommend is BodyArmor, which is basically a bottled multivitamin for athletes)

Vaccines recommend being administered at least 2 weeks ahead of expected exposure, which means, with the con 3 weeks away, you should try to get yours done either this weekend or in the following week. Flu and Covid are common at cons, so try and set up an appointment for those, if you haven't gotten them in the past 6 months. Vaccines are cumulative, and update for mutation, so even if you got last year's, you should try to get this year's. Covid Vaccines are FREE, so if you qualify for a booster, I'd recommend it before your inevitable exposure in the crowded con.

Also, consider getting the house clean and stocked on easy foods (like soup and crackers) and drinks (like BodyArmor or Ginger ale) by the day of the convention, so that if you DO get sick, you'll be coming home to a clean environment. (Remember: Covid is notorious for its secondary infections caused by dirty bedsheets and dusty air)

Anyway, just wanted to throw that up here, and hope #everypony has a safe Harmony Con, if you're going.

One last item at the #HarmonyCon #HarmonyCon2022 charity auction. DMX patch for the lighting on the main stage signed by AV staff for $250.

Honestly, I don't know what any of this means but I've always been curious about the work that goes on behind the scenes.
