KiriB (12-3) defeated Daiesho (12-3) twice today to earn the Haru yusho applying the same technique on both occasions. Daiesho came roaring with massive tachiai in their Day 15 and playoff bouts but KiriB side stepped at the last moment each time.

Daiesho (12-2) remains sole leader after a "denshamachi" (like a train) win over Midorifuji (10-3) who suffered his 3rd straight loss.

Wakatakakage (7-7) withdrew from the basho with an ACL injury. KiriB (11-3) gets a massive lucky fusensho to stay one behind Daiesho and their Day 15 bout will decide the yusho.

Hoshoryu (10-4) went henka-ish sliding past Wakamotoharu (10-4) at the tachiai before delivering a gorgeous uwatenage for the win.
