Hey historians, classicists, and lit folks, I'm trying to nail down what (if anything) Harvard students in the 1830s would've read and/or been taught about pederasty and/or male-male love/sex (e.g., Plato's Symposium). I can find only general things about the early 19th century that the curriculum became highly classics-oriented as the college secularized and that the readings were directed and rote.
