Hey historians, classicists, and lit folks, I'm trying to nail down what (if anything) Harvard students in the 1830s would've read and/or been taught about pederasty and/or male-male love/sex (e.g., Plato's Symposium). I can find only general things about the early 19th century that the curriculum became highly classics-oriented as the college secularized and that the readings were directed and rote. Any ideas for resources or historical writings? I'm likely just not doing my searches correctly or being to specific... @histodons @litstudies
