The 1.2 Draft still does not allow for any possibility of PF1/PF2 or OSR content based on the SRD 3.5 to continue publishing new content at all, under either the old OGL or the new OGL.

They're still using the sleazy bigots at TSR as an excuse to legally destroy Paizo and the businesses that grew up around it on Hasbro's promise of security.

It doesn't matter-- much-- what is true or not, about what's going on inside WotC right now.

What they've confirmed with their own words is that they intend to destroy all SRD-based gaming they do not control, and that they will not (or can not) be permanently dissuaded from this goal or from any of their methods to achieve this goal.

We all NEED Hasbro to not own WotC/D&D anymore. No less.

Hasbro's entire problem as a corporation is that they can't wrap their tiny little brains around the fact that the D&D fandom and the D&D community are where their money comes from.

Fundamentally, Hasbro can never be trusted again because they can't make any promise more binding than the one they just broke.

Furthermore, we can never allow another company or another game system to control as much of the market as Hasbro does. Open D&D can't just be an open system, it has to be a diverse ecosystem of complementary approaches to #MidwesternFolkArt.

I want to say, though... "profits over everything" isn't just the ethos of Corporate America, it is a literal legal/ethical requirement of corporate authors.

The problem is that Hasbro is run by useless, worthless rent-seeking parasites who think 100% of a six-inch pie is better for them than 90% of a twelve-inch pie. They are destroying their own wealth because they can't control ours.

#HasbroDelendaEst isn't about punishing #Hasbro or #WotC for what they've done.

Hasbro can't win the war they've started, but they can afford to "back down" and come back again, even stronger.

We can't afford to accept any peace terms Hasbro offers us, because Hasbro can't offer us terms they won't renege on later. Hasbro can't coexist with an independent #OpenDND.

"Hasbro delenda est" is a reminder that the only things Hasbro won't do to us again are the things it can't do to anyone again.

The reason that modern boycotts-- especially NERD boycotts-- don't work is that people say they're committed to the moral principle of the boycott, but then they always find a bunch of little excuses for why the thing they REALLY want to do doesn't count.

Just like every other meaningless human moral "principle".

Do what you're going to do, because you're going to do it anyway. Just stop pretending it's a principled decision.
