The main bits of the undercarriage are on the #Hasegawa T.2. I still have to add the undercarriage doors, canopies and jet exhausts
Added decals to the #Hasegawa Mitsubishi T.2.
These were a bit of a nightmare, as they kept disintegrating. The hinomaru (red national insignia) had to be completely replaced as the red circle and white surround were not centred. I've also omitted some of the smaller stencilling from the sheet. I might find some better behaved spares later!
Added white tail flashes to the #Hasegawa Mitsubishi T.2 model. The area round the jet exhausts has been painted in gunmetal, but it's not visible in this photo.

The #Hasegawa Mitsubishi T.2 has now been painted. I don't do grey aircraft very often, as I find them a bit boring. But this one looks okay.

I got the #Hasegawa Mitsubishi T.2 mostly assembled, and primed it with the airbrush. Unfortunately the finish was very poor in a few places, so I've had to remove the primer! Fortunately, it's Vallejo acrylic primer, so you can remove it with isopropyl alcohol (propan-2ol to be IUPAC compliant).

Engine intakes and one horizontal stabiliser added. It's supposed to droop slightly, so I had to improvise a clamp as a makeshift stand to keep it at the right height.

That missing instrument panel turned up on the floor! I was able to assemble the cockpit completely, install it in one half of the fuselage, glue the fuselage together AND get the wings on. Good progress.

Last bit of model building before Christmas yesterday, as we were inside due to the #Ottawa weather!
This is the #Hasegawa Mitsubishi T.2 in 1/72 scale.
The instrument panels are represented by decals, and don't look too bad. I had to build a new front instrument panel, as the piece was missing. It still needs a few details painting on the seats, and some seatbelts. I also assembled the two under-wing fuel tanks.

A bit of painting on the interior of the T.2. The kit instructions call for Neutral Grey, but my paints in that shade are too dark. I've settled on RAF Medium Sea Grey.
