Beat the drum for hate, as the Republicans are now doing vis-vis queer human beings, and it will be heard — louder and louder with more and more drum beats joining it.

This was a key lesson of how the Nazis captured the German mind with toxic antisemitism. They started as a minority of the population, but drummed up wide support by beating the drum for hate — and by doing that, they gained wide power.

This is a horrific time to be LGBTQ in the US.
