may not be best known for its fountains, but the in the Luxembourg Gardens is always worth a visit. It was originally constructed in 1630 for Marie de Médicis, the queen regent of France (and a very forceful, unsubtle person). The entire fountain was moved by 30 meters and altered a bit when Baron rerouted the traffic arteries of Paris during 1864-1866.
