@jmiba Das Leistungsschutzrecht ist auch hier natürlich eine Totgeburt. Trotzdem ist es fatal, wenn die Politik wieder einmal freundlich abwartet, bis die Plattformen fertig sind mit der Schaffung von Tatsachen. Das betrifft schließlich viele, z.B. Künstler*innen: #HaveIBeenTrained. Und es betrifft auch uns, denn Open Science wird genauso verfüttert werden, die Ergebnisse aber nicht mehr open, sondern exklusives Klubgut sein. So wie immer.

Looking at the haveibeentrained.com posts and thought I'd give it a spin. No hits (what, I'm not good enough to rip off?), but it does say one of my drawings has a 85% similarity to an Alex Raymond one, and I'll take that all day long.

Background: #Geograph has 7.3 million #geolocated photos of the UK&Ireland, with descriptions and metadata, All released under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ which freely allows re-use and modification - on condition that the attribution follows the work, and the derivative work has the same licence.

We defend that licence vigorously when news organisations etc. use our images.
