@melkypop Heaps is pretty terrible at updated docs, or even updated samples and code. Most of the ones who use it do two things.
1.Install the git repo on haxelib, not the standard haxelib package to keep with the latest.
2. Check directly the samples and the general source code on the actual repo.
It does unfortunately have a bit of a learning curve because of these issues. If you want to pursue this path though, I suggest the #haxe discord heaps channel where there is conversation about it.
Idk... While #haxe is neat... I'm not the biggest fan of the abstraction #haxeflixel provides. It's like swimming in a sugary lake.
Working on a syncing app and cli tui library in #haxe. Happy with the ease of use with the library right now.

I submitted Gravity Golfing for review in the app store today.
It is the first game using in my own engine and a test to see if the engine is usable for full games.
Let's hope it gets through review.
This is the preview video I made for it.
Resumed work on my small jam game from January about harvesting light with mirrors.
Started setting up a dynamic lighting system, still using jam graphics, and a lot left to do but getting to the right direction 😊
Added some particles / stars to make it easier to see which way the gravity is going.

Working on a little game called gravity golfing. When you hit a wall the gravity changes to that direction. Created with my own engine written in #haxe.
🐘 fwew i totally rewrote my lisp scanner, parser, ast generator. Starting from writing a good tokenizer was the trick, and then rewriting the parser was pretty straight forward. #haxe #indiedev #gamedev #Aldercone
