Let’s break the cycle! Goldenrod (Solidago spp.) does not cause hay fever and is unlikely to cause allergies. They are insect-pollinated and have heavy, sticky pollen that does not travel well in the air. Common Ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is one of the worst irritants for allergy sufferers since it's primarily wind-pollinated. Both goldenrods and ragweeds bloom at the same time, but their flowers are very different (goldenrods are yellow, and ragweed are green). #allergy #hayfever

Yo, folks in the north of England who suffer from hayfever: do yourselves a favour, if you haven't already. Take your antihistamines, use your nose sprays, keep your eyedrops on hand and pack a hanky. Mugwort pollen is high today, causes problems for a lot of pollen-sensitive folks, and is trying to personally murder me as we speak.

I make a point of wearing a mask when I have a sniffle and still working - and as part of the #WellKiwi study I often know which non covid bug I have - but amazes me in the places I work the numbers of coughs and sniffles in tightly packed poorly ventilated office spaces. I might be wearing as a courtesy - but certainly reduces the #hayfever and respiratory issues from dust and particulates - even in “clean green” #Wellington - so far I mostly catch the bugs the youngest brings home from school.

@DenisCOVIDinfoguy @auscovid19 Oh dear. Those sound like the allergy / hayfever symptoms I get most of the year. So far #Covid RAT tests are negative.

Any suggestions on symptoms making it more likely to be Covid and less likely to be #hayfever?

#Hayfever levels were through the roof yesterday, so I suppose it makes sense that my mild #asthma felt worse last night and this morning.

Hmm... I wanna study, but then my eyes water and I can't see things that great.

I also wanna make earrings, but then I have a sneezing fit. Sneezing and clay don't mix.

What to do? 🤔 Looks like I'm gaming some more.

If anyone hasn't yet ventured out and realised this, in the UK (at least in #Yorkshire) it is a BAD day for #hayfever sufferers. The inside of my ears are itchy, my throat is itchy, my nose is snuffly, please please let my cetirizine kick in nooooooooooooow, please, please.

When the weather is fine we attend an outdoor #milonga (#tango social dance) at the home of our #tangoteacher. Dancing en plein air is a very healthy way to exercise, but not for #hayfever sufferers obviously. 😜
And, definitely not if you are allergic to #bee stings as there are 6 #beehives in this garden space.
