The National Writers Union backs the Harper Collins Union on strike.

A recent 3rd-party initiative by the Authors Guild, proposing to resolve the dispute between workers and management, does not address essential #HCPUnion demands on pay and workplace diversity. The Authors Guild has moreover encouraged authors to work with scab editors.

The NWU has partnered successfully with the AG to get writers paid in past. In this case, the NWU opposes the AG. The AG should side with workers.

On the latest #WhenInRomance podcast they mention Harlequin is *not* part of the #HCPUnion, and wasn't allowed to join it. I had heard they weren't in it, too, but still view those titles as no contract, no review.
